It seems that due to the laws of Virginia or the US in general, highway advertising is only allowed at a distance of 500 feet (150 meters) to the side of the road, which makes it less attractive to advertisers, and there are hardly any billboards on the roads. It’s unusual when you hardly see any for several hours of driving. In the cities, however, there are plenty of billboards.
