In the States, there’s nothing like Yandex.Music. [UPDATE: Spotify was finally found, my Android was in Russian mode until today] I’m talking about a FREE service. There are plenty of paid ones. The only place where you can listen to music for free, almost any kind, is Youtube. But there, you end up streaming video as well, even though it’s not needed at all. For a mobile phone, it’s totally unnecessary, not only because of data usage but also battery drain. So if anyone happens to know a decent service similar to Yandex.Music that works in the states, please share. P.S. VKontakte works, but a) it’s slow b) it’s very inconvenient to listen to albums and compilations there, as there is hardly any grouping by artists and albums.

Most TV channels online broadcast only to subscribers. The Oscars were broadcast by ABC in just 10 US cities. When you visit almost any TV channel’s website, in order to watch a live broadcast, you need to enter a login and password from your provider, which informs the channel that you have a subscription to the broadcast.
