Four new posts have been added to my blog. I have launched a project “hybris Runtime development tools”, a set of console utilities for performing various tasks associated with development on SAP hybris.

Most of these tools will be somewhat or completely unclear to those who are not familiar with the “topic”. In simple words, these utilities enable actions that developers usually perform with a debugger in hand or using existing Hybris tools, though only implemented in forms within the administrative interface. For a one-time task, these forms are quite handy, but when you repeat the same operation thousands of times a day, you crave more automation. That’s where my little utilities come in: to work more efficiently.

The second reason for their existence is flexibility. Customizing Hybris is not straightforward (although doable), but the tools can easily be made convenient for your specific needs. For instance, exporting all orders to Excel, locating the one that’s causing incorrect calculations, and making the necessary code correction. Previously, this wasn’t as easy due to limited export-import capabilities in Hybris.
