A very interesting magazine, and this article in particular, about the creation of Prince Of Persia. Not sure, though, if many here remember him 🙂 It’s interesting to read about the game creation process in the 90s.

Nowadays I don’t play at all, but during my school years, I was quite fond of it. Among the titles I remember are Loom, Monkey Island, Another World, King’s Quest, Lemmings, Mortal Kombat, Railroad Tycoon, Elite, Leisure Suit Larry, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Doom, Duke Nukem, Eco Quest, Half Life, Quake 2, Civilization, Alone in the Dark, Myst, Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle, The Incredible Machine, SimCity, UFO, Stunts, Might & Magic 4, Home Alone, Ultima Underworld, Warcraft, Descent 2, Need for Speed… And now, I don’t even know what has come out in the last ten years. Probably no major breakthroughs, just improved graphics.

The topic is relevant again. On Monday, there will be a trial in Kolomna where, most likely, in my absence, I will be obliged to pay Rosgosstrakh for the repairs of the Mercedes that collided with me. Paying the entire amount at once is difficult (or rather, impossible in my case). There probably are some standard terms or installments. If anyone has dealt with this issue, please contact me. I need to know what problems to prepare for.

Yesterday was a corporate event in Minsk, and today we’re celebrating the five-year anniversary of trading NYSE: EPAM at the New York Stock Exchange. And on Sunday, I’m off to Krakow and Minsk for nearly three weeks. Time to freeze and work.

And this is the second award. For winning the EPAM hybris Competence Center Contest. Perhaps someone remembers my experiments with Crop & Resize for Hybris. In this contest, this prototype was developed into a fully-fledged extension, very flexible and customizable for specific project needs. A couple of sleepless nights, but everything was submitted on time, and here it is, the first prize — in the studio.
