Just published a new article in my blog.

This article began with the simple question: why does the search query “camera lenses” lead to tripods in the Electronics SAP Hybris demo storefront instead of the camera lenses products? There is a relevant category named “camera lenses” and a product having “Lens” in its name. In the article, I explain all details of relevance score calculation and also show how to configure the hybris search module better. It will help you to better understand the search processes in hybris, be able to explain such cases to the customer, or fix the situations like mentioned above by changing the search configuration in the right way.

In the latest “Meduza” audio podcast, the hosts “show” listeners excerpts from the ballet “Nureyev,” supporting the thesis that it’s quite something. They comment on what’s happening on stage, making it easier for us to form an impression. Well done!

I can’t find anything online about the accent V.M.Varga uses in Fargo 3. It’s somewhat unusual. In many places where normal people say eɪ, he says aɪ:

private planes – ˈpraɪvɪt plAɪnz (1:38)

famed misprint – fAɪmd ˌmɪsˈprɪnt(2:26)

sold into slavery – səʊld ˈɪntuː ˈslAɪvəri (2:53)

these the same – ðɪs ðə sAɪm

it goes without saying – ɪt gəʊz wɪˈðaʊt ˈsAɪɪŋ,

what a day! – wɒt ə dAɪ!

making – ˈmAɪkɪŋ

bland – blAɪnd

states – stAɪts

great – grAɪt

may – mAi

etc.

that “what a day!” totally killed me 🙂 What kind of accent is that? Something from England?
