I caught myself thinking that I haven’t seen regular wheelchairs on the street for a very long time. Right now, as I sit in the hotel lobby, three electric ones passed by me, two of them on the street. Occasionally, I even see homeless people on electric wheelchairs. I wonder where they charge the batteries?..
Abroad, the quality of various foot-related devices that replace or supplement casts in case of fractures (or something like that) really catches the eye. They are called walking boots/walking cast here and look something like this: https://www.google.be/search?q=walking+boot&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS753US753&dcr=0&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwid6PbnzpzWAhWHKMAKHfTXCGwQsAQIYA&biw=1853&bih=990
I don’t know why, but they are not seen on the streets in Russia.
