Many of you may not remember, but pre-internet era featured the gopher, a protocol later replaced by HTTP. To my surprise, there are still resources available on Gopher and it even has a functional search feature. Since the protocol is old, almost no one supports it anymore. You need to install special software or use a proxy. Using a proxy is more convenient to drop a link here.
