Just figured out the real differences between a bolt and a screw. Shame on me. “A bolt is much more functional. It can be not only screwed in but also hammered in. And sometimes even laid down”.

The difference lies in the strength characteristics. When calculating a screw joint, only tensile strength is considered, whereas for a bolted joint, both tensile and shear strengths are considered, which ultimately provides a clear classification of screws and bolts. All other differences have long ceased to be differences.

Wow, what a powerful movie Joker is. Even if it’s a one-man show, but what a man. Joaquin Phoenix is a genius, and I can’t even imagine how Leonardo DiCaprio (who was considered) would have played this role. And the director, Todd Phillips, after his “Hangover” series, suddenly started churning out masterpiece after masterpiece. With a budget of $55M, the earnings are already 20 times more, about $1100M. In the previous “A Star is Born” about Lady Gaga, the ratio of earnings to expenses was also of the same order. Awesome!

One of the strongest impressions in both the Concorde and the Tu-144 was quite unexpected. The fuselages of both airplanes are fixed at an angle, akin to being in takeoff position (see photo). Inside the plane, however, you never feel such a tilt in real life because the flight attendants buckle passengers into their seats. Therefore, when inside, a strong cognitive dissonance arises. To some parts of the brain, the plane feels like it is standing horizontally, but your body falls sideways because the angle is indeed steep. It takes some time to get used to it. You forget after a minute, and then it throws you towards the tail of the airplane again.
