An example of our local news. A 23-year-old dude was arrested and thrown into a detention center for apparently trying too hard to hit on some lady during a bike ride. She, smartly, sped off home, called the police from there, and provided a description of the scoundrel and his bicycle. Caught him. According to the police, it was his third attempt to draw attention. In short, they locked him up and are calling for other victims to come forward. Likely he’ll get about three years plus end up in a public registry of miscreants so the neighbors know who they are living with.
P.S. I’m not defending the victim here, whoever of the two it might be. Just an example of news you wouldn’t see in Russia.
