Huaynaputina (or Waynaputina)

It is believed that the eruption of this volcano could have caused the Great Famine in Russia from 1601 to 1603, which contributed to the popular uprisings during the Time of Troubles.

Consequences:

more than 1500 dead;

destruction in the cities of Arequipa and Moquegua;

several large villages completely destroyed;

total crop loss, which led to widespread diseases and a gradual change in climate.
