“Meduza” does not mention that an idiot slashed a painting at the Centre Pompidou, and the painting is this one, Manifestation 3, with such red stripes, from 1967. The guy decorated subways and various external objects with similar vertical stripes. For several decades, these stripes appeared unchanged in various contexts and on different surfaces.

Watched this short film and the movie “Stranger than Fiction” back to back. Both are simply fabulous (and share a common theme)

Published a large and detailed (40 pages, 21 diagrams) article about everything related to card payments on the internet, integrating payment systems into websites. Best practices, edge cases, risks, opportunities, architecture, latest innovations, etc. I tried to consolidate everything I knew from my time at Chronopay and learned in the process of working on the online stores of Svyaznoy and Enter.
Co-authored by @[100001044160267:2048:Aleksey Kryuchkov], with whom I have gone through thick and thin at Svyaznoy. He recently joined us at EPAM, and before that, he carried Svyaznoy.ru on his shoulders for over eight years in everything related to development and support. Huge thanks to him for the help in preparing the material!

The clock has finally started telling me how much I sleep. This month, on average, it’s five hours and twenty minutes a day. And I don’t really want any more than that)

An interesting diagram showing the mess with the system of units that exists in Canada. The metric system was introduced there in 1970, but the transition was never fully completed (it is said that a very progressive conservative government came to power).
As a result, construction and mining measure length and depth in feet, engineers and science β in meters. Meat and vegetables in stores are in pounds, chocolate bars β in grams, cannabis β in ounces, everything else alternates between pounds and kg. Human height β exclusively in feet, distances β in kilometers. Outdoor temperature is announced in degrees Celsius, in the oven β in degrees Fahrenheit. The area of rooms is in square feet, land β in acres (an acre is 66 x 660 feet, very convenient). Volume of liquids β in liters, bulk materials β in cubic yards.
