Friends, I invite you to my master class at SAP on September 28th at 2 PM. It is open to all who are interested, but registration is mandatory, and the number of spots is limited. Also, it will be a nice chance to meet as I won’t be in Russia for long.

The slides will feature diagrams and screenshots, not kittens and other nonsense, and there will even be some code at one point, so it will be more interesting for engineers than for those in humanities. But overall, the presentation is aimed at a fairly broad audience. It should be clear and interesting to everyone involved in e-commerce development.

Ran. 53:10 / 10.1 km. Pace 5:16, i.e., 52:40 min/10 km. Aimed for five minutes per kilometer, but didn’t succeed. It was very hot, plus the crowd was slowing down at the start, could have made up about 20 seconds there. The main reason, of course, is that I need more training! After standing in a long line, they refused to accept card payment because it was international, and they have a block on such. I scooped up all the cash from my wallet, and it was just enough with 15 euros tucked away in a corner from a trip to Belgium. It’s very noticeable in Moscow that people who are strangers or barely acquainted don’t really greet each other. For example, during a jog in the USA or Europe, it’s quite rare that a fellow jogger won’t throw you a casual hello. And there’s no need to even mention the neighbors. In Moscow, it’s quite the opposite: it’s rare for someone to greet you. Also, there’s a suspicion that if you do something wrong, here they prefer to make remarks over asking you not to do something. I never really noticed it before.
