Opened the swimming season

In the collection of intriguing vending machines: sale and rental of charged phone batteries. Well, selling them (44 bucks) is usual, but renting them – that’s interesting. Five dollars a day. You return them to the same kind of machine, and there’s a whole network of them here.

I just came across this game in uber. Very cleverly done. A set of tasks for algorithmists, timed. It seems to appear not just anywhere, but near IT company offices, plus, they probably pull data from somewhere else. There’s nothing else for the Uber passenger to do, so the conversion into resumes must be significant. And yes, I couldn’t solve a single one – too fast thinking required for me there)

Last night, we almost slipped on a snake on our way back from Conshohocken Brewing.

Apparently, it was just a common garter snake, a non-venomous scarlet snake (Cemophora coccinea)

I’ve been living and working in Pennsylvania all this week. Decided to save the company some money this time, and instead of staying in a corporate Marriott business hotel with paid WiFi and breakfast for almost $300 a night, I opted for the Best Western Plus motel at $115, with internet and a full morning snack.
