I just didn’t notice, and caught Masha in the museum with a band-aid she got from the reception. She also had a sore foot and was suffering.

In New York, a restaurant gave me a band-aid for a cut finger in literally a second.

I think it must be part of some essential kit almost everywhere in public places. I don’t know what else, but in case of blisters, like Masha and I had, it can help.)

This boring intersection is the most dangerous in our town. I know of five to seven major accidents that have occurred here, with burning trees and cars on the pedestrian paths. The collisions are always the same: a car coming from the right doesn’t see another approaching from the hill. The problem is that there’s a pit beyond the hill, completely hiding the car.

In the states, they economize heavily on people if they can be replaced by smart systems. I came up with the idea of a vehicle access control system for secured sites, I’ll leave it here so I don’t forget.

Entry/exit. Two barriers, a button, the driver approaches, presses the button. At that moment: the vehicle is weighed, the driver’s face is captured (attempt), the vehicle’s number is recorded (attempt), the make of the vehicle is identified (attempt), attempts are made to connect with the driver’s card, if he has one. All this information is checked in a database, and then either the left barrier opens, or – the right one. The right leads to a check/document issuance/registration etc., if something goes wrong. For instance, if the weight doesn’t match the recorded weight, or the driver is not the one photographed, or the vehicle is too dirty to read the number. A similar check is conducted upon exit. A database is formed based on successful entries, influencing the success of subsequent checks.

I came up with a rather educational little task with an impressive result: install a video camera and 2 laser distance sensors at the front of a car. With the help of these simple devices, the car “hooks onto” the one in front and keeps pace. It’s simple. Furthermore, when the car ahead turns, one edge becomes slightly closer than the other, which signals the following car to plan a turn at the same place in the same way. If the system is well-tuned, you can create a train of cars that increases in speed;) why hasn’t anyone done this yet?!
