New blog post about hybris: a Chrome extension to make working with data in hybris easier. It resembles an SQL console but operates not with database tables, but with hybris objects. Unlike the built-in tools of similar purpose in Hybris, this tool is more convenient, plus it has additional useful features like query history or automatic resolution of external links to objects.

For the first time, we bought sticky rice. This is a special variety of rice, here it is called sweet rice (it isn’t actually sweet; it’s just often used for sweet dishes). It turned out quite cool. Firstly, you can thinly slice it with a knife. Secondly, it really is sticky. It’s not easy to scrape off the knife.

By the time he gave this performance to commemorate his 90th birthday, he was literally blind from cataracts.

When asked how he could still play when blind, his reply was: “The pianoforte has always had eighty-eight keys, and the notes are always the same. After eighty-five years of playing, my memory is all that is required.”
