Apple’s office in Cupertino. Interestingly, there is no hint of an apple or corporate signage at the main building’s central entrance (as well as others). All there is – is a number – “1 Infinite Loop” – which is, in fact, the office address. Actually, I’m not entirely truthful – I did find one apple, at the store nearby, on the doors. A small one. On a large sign next to the store, there is no apple. And no Apple. There are also signs in the parking lot, everything is in order there, but they are purely informational.
Drinking fountains in the Target restroom

I was recently in a huge store where there was nothing but socks. Meet the cap store!

Haven’t seen a single smoker in the States yet.
Funny – signing a check at Bubba Gump, I noticed that beer for 0.5 liters costs almost 13 bucks. Considering the overall affordability of the place, that’s quite a lot. I asked the waiter – turns out, the glass IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE!!! They brought a glass in a bag. Kind of a rip-off, but they say it’s the concept. The restaurant itself resembles a Friday’s with a large volume of fast food (hard to miss here…)
On the plane, I rewatched “The Grand Budapest Hotel” – and there was a white square instead of a Rich Pellegrino painting! http://richpellegrino.tumblr.com/post/79986247676/2013-was-a-year-i-will-never-forget-so-much
