Brought my daughter to the ice rink for the first time this morning. Out of 36 cars in the parking lot, only two are sedans – mine and someone else’s. Quite a rarity.

The second three minutes of my commute from work home take me past public soccer fields. When I cycle home around 8-9 PM, there’s always someone playing – in uniform, with referees and spectators. The day before yesterday I saw an entire girls’ soccer team there, and yesterday – a whole girls’ lacrosse team. I should make a report from there and post it on Facebook sometime.
You don’t know what lacrosse is? Neither did I. But it’s very popular here (as a game people learn to play, not one they enjoy watching on TV. The latter is more about baseball and basketball).
The players run around in masks like Hannibal Lecter with nets in their hands.
